Greetings Cup Checkers,
This week’s Mid-Week Motivation is brought to us by world renowned big wave surfer Laird Hamilton. He puts it all on the line, pushing himself and his sport to the edges of what was previously regarded as impossible. In this video clip, Laird rides a wave in Teahupoo, Tahiti, thought to be one of the “heaviest” waves ever ridden.
What does big wave surfing have to do with minor league baseball anyways? We’ve trained our entire lives to accomplish our dreams of playing in the Major Leagues and stand where only an elite fraternity has ever stood before.
Laird says, “I don’t wanna not live because of my fear of what could happen.”
The Cup Check…protect the goods.
